There is no such thing as inspired

Sorry for the disappearing act. What happened is that I fell for the "no point in drawing when I am not feeling it" trick, plus been busier than usual with work stuff, plus ________ (insert excuse here). You know the drill. But no point in dwelling on it so, so am moving on. But what I hate is that once I pick up the pen and actually start working things always happen. Reminds me of that Picasso quote:

"Inspiration will come, but it has to find you working"

In other news, nothing much. Very excited about Christmas. Thinking about New Years resolutions. One that is certain is; get a more exciting life to talk about on blog (reminder to self: People are not interested in you recapping Hart of Dixie!!!). It would be only fair.
Not sure how do you go about doing this, but I'll find out. I bet if I Google it something will turn up.

  1. Don`t be afraid of (or feel bad about) the absence of inspiration - if it was always there it would be called "normality" not inspiration ;)

I`m rather afraid of christmas...it`s a festivity of love and family...but what about those who don`t have these things in their lifes? It feels bad enough to have fallen apart with one`s family all year anyway but a christmas on one`s own makes you "an outcast", "a complete failure"... :/ I already wrote a list of household shores I intend to do on christmas...

  2. Personally, I'm always interested in your blog M - you write with soul, honesty and humour in a way that most don't. Add your ridiculously gorgeous sketches into the mix and yep, you have a big fan over here.

  3. Picasso is right, every time I pick up my pencil something nice happens, I just wish I had more time to play with my paper and pencil. Never mind, Christmas is almost here and once I've eaten too much food and caught up on all the missed sleep I'll be spending as much time as I can with my pencil and paints, I can't wait! :)

  4. I would rather take a break from posting than post something uninspired. We all need a break. And I am already thinking to my New Years resolutions. I plan to take 2012 by the horns and shape up financially and healthwise. This is it!!
